How many books will there be in the series?
How many do you want??
Right now I have the text completed for five books, plus a couple of other stories that are in development. I love the series and plan to keep writing stories for the Princess Sisters as long as people are willing to keep reading them.
Why are two girls the heroes of the stories?
Hmmmm. To be honest, I never gave that much thought as I was writing the stories. There was certainly no grand plan to say, "Most stories have boys as the heroes, so I'm going to be different and use girls."
The Castle Rose Adventures began as a series of bedtime stories that I told my daughters before they went to sleep at night. I quickly found that the stories they liked best were when THEY were the heroes, so that's what I did. It's really as simple as that. If I would have had two sons instead of two daughters, there is a very good chance that we would be discussing the adventures of the Prince Brothers rather than the Princess Sisters!
Did Castle Rose actually exist?
No, there was no Castle Rose. HOWEVER, the layout and blueprint of Castle Rose IS based on an actual castle from the Middle Ages.
One of the things that I decided on early in the process of creating this series was to make sure that I kept as historically accurate as possible. Castle Rose has a very traditional look, and the workers and chores described in the books were true parts of life in the middle ages.
If you check out some of the castle web sites found on the Fun page, you should be able to figure out what castle I was looking at when I designed Castle Rose. Good Luck!
What other books does the author have planned?
Well, in addition to writing more Castle Rose stories, I am also currently working on a brand new series called (at least right now) "T-Force 4" - the adventures of three best friends who also happen to be black belts in the Korean martial art of TaeKwon-Do. Under the guidance of their teacher - Master Kyu - the boys learn there is more to this world than meets the eye.
I can't get into too many details right now, since there is still a LOT of work to be done. All I can say is that the series is very exciting, and when it's ready it will be announced HERE first!
